Using Police Procedural Evidence and Racial Profiling Statistics in Police Misconduct Cases
Seminar Synopsis
Texas police agencies are required to maintain more information on their public contacts and procedures than ever before. The goal of the seminar is to inform attorneys, police executives, and city officials on the increasing importance of race based statistical and procedural evidence and the analysis of police procedures in police conduct cases.
The speakers, which include attorneys, police executives and law enforcement, and legal researchers, will discuss recent legal developments, how police procedures are analyzed in a legal setting, and the role that statistical and procedural evidence plays in evaluating allegations of race based policing. There will also be a discussion on the race based data Texas police agencies collect and the legislative data requirements faced by Texas police agencies.

The seminar is designed for attorneys, in-house city and county attorneys, police chiefs, police executives, senior level police officers and city and municipal managers.
